This past June, the Ruiter family of Black Rapids Farm, in partnership with Farm & Food Care Ontario, hosted a fantastic “Breakfast on the Farm” event. As volunteers, we were excited to take part in this wonderful day focused on dairy education and community involvement.
The Ruiter family has been running their dairy farm for over 62 years, and this event provided an inside look at their innovative practices. Attendees were fascinated by the fully robotic dairy barn, demonstrating the future of farming technology and efficiency.
The day was made even more special with a delicious all-Ontario farm breakfast, honoring the region’s rich agricultural heritage.
